Our Company
We are a producer of high quality metallurgical coke, used in the production of Ferro-alloys, located in Cucuta, Norte de Santander, Colombia. We have an annual production capacity of 300,000 tonnes making us the largest, single origin coke producer in the region.
The partners in the business have over 40 years experience in the production and marketing of specialist metallurgical coals and cokes to the international market. Over the past 5 years the company has consolidated its position as the leading supplier of low phosphorous nut-coke from Colombia. Our coke is exported word-wide with the principal markets being Europe, Scandinavia and Asia.
The company is fully vertically integrated, owning both coal mines and coke plants which means we are able to keep tight control of the production process from coal mine to port.
Our vast experience means we are able provide consistent, high quality products which are fully compliant with international quality requirements.
Process
Coking coal is transported to the coke plant where it undergoes carbonisation into coke. It is then screened and sized at our screening facility.

Product
The feedstock coking coal comes from our own mines and coke production is done 100% at our own coking plant. We are a single origin producer which means we do not blend our coke with coke from any third parties. This is very important as it means we are able to tightly control control product quality. Traceability is a key component of our production process.
Our coke has high carbon and low phosphorous content (typical 0.004%) which is ideal for the production of ferro-alloys such as ferro-chrome and silicon manganese.
Loading facilities
The coke is transported by road to the Atlantic port of Barranquilla where we have a designated stocking area within the Compas terminal
It is soft-loaded into vessels using a conveyor belt system to reduce degradation and minimize fines content.
